You will find this carafe in trattorias and bars all over Italy. Even though it is not a sophisticated product, it is the most wonderful carafe I could find. No, actually I would call it very sophisticated. Maybe not in the sense that it is made with high craftsmanship, but in every other way. The shape fits one liter, which is the perfect size to still comfortably pour the water into others' glasses. The neck is very pleasant to hold. The shape is elegant but not fragile, and the thick glass walls give it a substantial feel. The opening is big enough that you can still easily clean the carafe.
